Living in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, on the wet side of the Cascade Mountains, may not be everyone’s idea of the perfect climate but if you were a plant you might think otherwise. This temperate climate allows for a long growing season where many diverse plants thrive, both native and non-native. I am fascinated by the native species of this region so most of my work is devoted to them.
